Autumn fills the air, and of all the things that frighten us, some of the most terrifying are those which involve “the terrors next door,” and the lurking fears of the everyday. Yet there are also stories involving stranger things… encounters with odd individuals that don’t seem to have a place in our consensus reality. Can science explain these experiences, or is there something more complex involved?
In this special Halloween 2023 installment of The Micah Hanks Program, after news involving alleged hauntings and exorcisms, examine a collection of terrors and odd tales, ranging from horrific murders that happened very close to home for our haunted host back in the 1990s. We then suspend our disbelief as we shift our attention toward unreal experiences from over the decades where people have described visits with entities hailing “from beyond.” Who are these mysterious visitors… Ghosts? Extraterrestrials? Time travelers? Or do they represent something else entirely?
